Overview

The 5-Terminal Add-on is the essential interface module that exposes the full hardware capabilities of The Pill by Shelly. It provides screw terminals for 5 V power, ground, and three configurable 3.3 V logic-level inputs/outputs so you can easily connect sensors, switches, buttons, and low-voltage devices.

IO1 is multi-purpose and supports DS18B20, DHT22, analog input (0–2.5 V), or digital I/O. IO2 and IO3 are configurable as digital input or output. This makes it ideal for custom automations, prototyping, and bringing simple contacts or sensors into your Shelly or Home Assistant system.

It is also the required base module for other official The Pill by Shelly add-ons such as the SSR and Analog 0–30 V modules.
