Terms and Conditions
Untamed Technologies (Pty) Ltd
These terms are the contract between you and us. By using Our Website or placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site or order.
We are Untamed Technologies (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa.

You are anyone who uses Our Website or buys from us.
These terms apply together with our Return Policy, Privacy Policy and other legal pages. If a term conflicts with the Consumer Protection Act 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 2002 (ECTA) for a consumer sale, the statute applies.
1. Definitions
Carrier — any person or business we use to deliver Goods to you.
Content — anything published on Our Website by us or by a third party with our consent.
Goods — products offered or sold on Our Website.
Our Website — this site and any other site we control that sells these Goods.
Post — publish or upload Content on Our Website.
2. Interpretation
These terms apply to all supplies of Goods by us and prevail over any terms you propose, except where a statute says otherwise.
Headings do not change the meaning. A reference to a law includes later law with substantially the same intent.
Where we indemnify a party, “costs” may include management time at R750 per hour, except where a statute does not allow that against a consumer.
This agreement is in English.
3. Our contract with you
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is made when we send order-confirmation email.
The terms that apply are those on Our Website on the day you order.
We may change these terms for future orders. We will not change the price of an order you have already placed, except as set out in clause 5.
We do not guarantee that advertised Goods are in stock. We may refuse to deliver to a country we do not serve.
If you order on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have authority to do so and you accept responsibility for that order.
This document, the Return Policy and the policies linked from Our Website are the contract for website sales. That does not exclude liability for fraud or for a misleading representation under the CPA.
4. Acceptance of your order
If we cannot supply all of the Goods, we will offer alternatives. You may accept the alternatives or cancel the missing part (or the whole order).
5. Price and payment
The price is the price shown on Our Website when you order. Prices include VAT.
Delivery is extra unless we say shipping is free. Delivery cost is shown before you pay.
If a listed price is clearly wrong, we may refuse to supply at that price if we tell you before dispatch. You may then cancel.
If you live outside South Africa, you are responsible for import duties and local taxes. If your delivery address is outside South Africa we will refund the SA VAT we charged, where that applies.
If we owe you money we will repay it as soon as reasonably possible, and within 14 days of accepting that repayment is due, unless a statute sets a different period. ECTA cooling-off refunds are within 30 days of cancellation.
6. Payment security
Card and EFT payments are processed by our payment providers, not on pages we control. We do not store full card numbers on this site.
If you ask us to remember a payment method for later orders or subscriptions, the provider stores it in encrypted form and uses it only for payments you start.
7. If you buy as a consumer (7-day cooling-off)
This clause applies if you are a consumer under ECTA.
You may cancel without giving a reason within 7 days after the date you receive the Goods (the day of receipt does not count). For services, the 7 days run from the date the agreement is concluded.
Email returns@untamedtech.co.za with your order number. The process, packing rules and refund timing are in the Return Policy.
You pay the direct cost of returning the Goods on a change-of-mind cancel. We refund you within 30 days of the date you cancel. We may wait for the Goods or for proof of shipment before releasing the refund, but that still falls inside the 30 days. We do not charge a restocking fee on a valid cooling-off cancel.
Cooling-off does not apply to
- goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised
- goods that by nature cannot be returned
- goods likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly
- sealed goods relating to health or hygiene that you have unsealed
- sealed audio or video recordings or sealed computer software that you have unsealed
- goods that have become inseparably mixed with other items
- services that began with your consent before the 7 days ended (including installation, configuration or Home Assistant setup already started at your request)
- foodstuffs or everyday consumables delivered to your home or workplace
- auctions, financial services, gaming, or dated travel / accommodation / leisure bookings
Dealer and trade buyers do not get this cooling-off right unless the law treats them as consumers.
Outside the 7-day cooling-off, change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Statutory defect rights still apply.
This clause does not affect your rights if the Goods are faulty.
8. Delivery
Courier delivery is typically 1–3 working days to main centres and 3–5 working days to other areas from the day you order, if the Goods are in stock. These times are estimates.
We deliver to the address on your order. Someone should be available to accept the parcel. Collection from our premises is not available unless we agree in writing.
Risk in the Goods passes to you when they are delivered to that address.
Please check the parcel on arrival. If it is obviously damaged, note it with the courier and contact us the same day. Signing the waybill does not take away your rights for hidden transit damage or for CPA defects.
If we cannot deliver within a reasonable time we will tell you and agree a new date. If the delay is unreasonable you may cancel the unfilled part of the order and we will refund that part.
Some Goods ship from the manufacturer. Where that happens we will say so and their delivery timing applies.
We may deliver in instalments.
9. Foreign taxes and duties
If you are outside South Africa, you must be allowed to import the Goods and you pay any import duty or tax in your country.
10. Defective goods (CPA)
If you buy as a consumer under the CPA and the Goods are defective, unsafe, not of good quality, not in working order, or not reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, you may return them within 6 months of delivery.
You choose repair, replacement or a refund. If we repair and the same problem is not fixed, or another defect appears within 3 months of that repair, you may require a replacement or a refund.
The same return right applies if:
- you had no chance to examine the actual Goods before delivery and they do not match the description, sample or what you could reasonably expect; or
- you told us a particular purpose before buying, we indicated the Goods would meet it, and within 10 business days of delivery they are unsuitable for that purpose; or
- we sent the wrong item.
Please report a problem as soon as it becomes apparent. That request does not shorten the 6-month period.
Once a defect (or wrong item) is confirmed, we pay reasonable return shipping.
Manufacturer warranties (often 12 months; see the product page) are in addition to these rights. They do not reduce the 6-month CPA protection.
Misuse, unauthorised modification or normal wear is not a defect.
11. How to return Goods
Follow the Return Policy.
Email returns@untamedtech.co.za with your order number and whether you are using the 7-day cooling-off or reporting a defect. We will issue a returns note and the return address.
Return the Goods with all parts and, where practical, original packaging. A missing box or missing returns note does not cancel a statutory right if we can identify the order; it may delay processing.
Summary
- 7-day cooling-off (consumers): you pay return shipping.
- Confirmed CPA defect or wrong item: we pay reasonable return shipping; you choose the remedy.
- Outside the 7-day cooling-off, change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Statutory defect rights still apply.
- Any other return only if we agree in writing.
12. Disclaimers and liability
Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the CPA or ECTA. For consumer sales we do not exclude the quality, safety, fitness or description standards in CPA section 55.
We do not promise that Our Website will always be available. We may suspend it for maintenance.
Content posted by third parties is their responsibility. If something on the site offends you, use the Contact page.
To the extent the law allows for non-consumer sales, we exclude implied warranties that can legally be excluded, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of goodwill.
Where we are liable and a cap is allowed, our liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Goods concerned. This cap does not apply to CPA consumer remedies, ECTA cooling-off refunds, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
This clause also covers our directors, staff and contractors, except where the law does not allow that.
13. Your account
Keep your account details accurate. Keep your password confidential. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your login unless we caused the breach.
14. What you may not Post
You may not Post Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, deceptive, infringing, or that impersonates us or anyone else, harvests personal information, or is used to sell goods without our consent.
15. Restricted Posting
We may refuse, edit or remove a Post that breaks these terms, including unauthorised links, keyword stuffing, other people’s logos, or false information.
16. How we handle your Content
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information.
Content you Post in a public area can be seen by others. You keep copyright in your own Content. You grant us a licence to use, copy, publish and display that Content for the operation and promotion of Our Website for a commercially reasonable period.
You are responsible if your Content infringes someone else’s rights.
If you send us unsolicited ideas, you grant us the same licence.
17. Offensive Content
We do not have to monitor the site, but we may. If you complain about Content, email us with enough detail to find it. We will investigate and may remove or reinstate it.
Do not submit a complaint you know is false. If you do, you may have to pay our reasonable investigation cost.
18. Security of Our Website
You may not hack, scrape product data for a competing store, copy large parts of the site, or frame the site so it looks like someone else’s.
You may link to Our Website in a fair, non-misleading way. You may not use our logo in that link without written consent. You may copy page text for your own personal use in connection with a purchase.
19. Indemnity
You indemnify us against loss we suffer because you broke the law, broke these terms, or infringed someone else’s rights, except to the extent we caused that loss, and except where the CPA does not allow this against a consumer.
20. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the IP in Our Website, branding and Content. You may not copy or commercially reuse it except as allowed in clause 18.
Buying Goods does not transfer any IP in software, firmware or documentation except the licence the manufacturer gives an ordinary purchaser.
21. General
We communicate by email. Email is valid notice.
If a clause is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Failure to enforce a right once is not a waiver.
Notices: hand delivery on the day of delivery; post to the correct address within 72 hours; email within 24 hours if no bounce-back.
If there is a dispute we will first try to settle it in good faith, including mediation if both sides agree, before litigation. That does not stop either side from using urgent court relief.
South African law governs this agreement. Courts of the Republic of South Africa have jurisdiction.
22. Giveaways
Promotional coupons and giveaways may sometimes show or calculate more than one free item. Only one free item may be claimed per person, per household, and per order. Extra free items added by a coupon are not valid and may be removed before dispatch, or the order may be cancelled and refunded for any amount paid. One claim per person applies across email addresses, accounts, and delivery addresses. We may refuse or cancel orders that appear to abuse a giveaway.
