Is this the same as Home Assistant Setup?

No. HA Setup gets the platform running. AI Assistant Setup is the voice/chat layer — Assist, speech pipelines, satellites/speakers, and optional LLM helpers on top of a working HA.

Do I need Alexa or Google?

Not for this service. We centre on Home Assistant Assist and local-friendly voice. Cloud speakers can coexist, but they are not the goal.

What hardware do you support?

Voice satellites, USB/mic setups, and smart speakers that can join an HA Assist pipeline. We can advise on Shelly-adjacent and speaker options we stock or recommend.

Will it work offline / during load shedding (with UPS)?

Local pipelines keep critical voice control available when the internet is down. Cloud-only paths will not — we design with that in mind for Gauteng homes.

Can you add LLM chat Assist?

Yes, as an optional layer when you want richer conversation. We still ground control in your HA entities and document privacy trade-offs.

Do you cover Gauteng?

Yes — on-site AI assistant setup across Gauteng (South Africa). Larger travel jobs can be discussed for multi-room installs.
